Here's a question. Have you ever been to a ball game, or concert or other post assembly venue and heard someone say?: Holy cow! Who cleaned the cr?p & p*ss off the bathroom floors? They must worship the only true god or something. I just gotta hook up with these folks! WTS had me believing that the creator of the universe was personally interested in me scraping gum off the stadium seats, so the poor worldy folks would know that he is the only true god. Next summer, ask your co-workers and neighbors who is meeting downtown this week? I wonder how many will say: Them JWs, I wonder what they are doing in there?

I have learned that Assemblies give JWs the impression that they are bigger and having more impact than they really do.
Since I have left, the TRUTH becomes quite obvious. The world in general hardly notices these people. It was a cold reality to me.
At the assembly we seemed to be this worldwide organization, warning the empires on a scale greater than this system has ever seen.
Outside of the borg, after only a year, even with newspaper propaganda - the general feel is: Who Cares! -

LOL!
I thought this thread was about the bugzilla application (http://www.bugzilla.org/) that I just installed on my apache web server.

Mt 24:14 fulfilled - response from dubs and CO
by mavie ini was talking to a current jw about this issue.
i asked if they had heard about mt 24:14 being fulfilled, to which they replied 'no'.
had told them that the wt has said that scripture had been fulfilled a long time ago, which they did..... i then asked, 'so you *have* heard about mt 24:14 being fulfilled since your co is talking about it....'well, ya'.(!!

WTS damage control has now kicked in, slapped the speaker's hand and will now keep quiet until everything dies down.
The faithful JWs that I know are now saying that apostates are probably behind it all.
I even heard a 'sister' say that apostates are behind the whole UN debacle.
'The evil slave got onto the UN website and posted this anti-witness info.'
I wish that I was kidding about this kind of reasoning, but the fact is that there is absolutely no way to reason with witnesses if they don't want to see the TRUTH.
The sad thing is that I was exactly like that for most of my life! -

How many still live with consequenses made as a teen that still affect you?
by megsmomma inwith so many of us having gotten baptised at a young age and now dealing with the results of it.... it made me wonder how many decisions made at a young age still could and do affect your life.. example: when i was 14 i thought it was a good idea to marry this weird brother that was our land lord.
(thank goodness i was too young to do so) also, i thought it was a good idea to have pet monkeys....and a good idea to have my own apartment with several other young jw sisters...even thinking it would be a good idea to have babies.... i was too young to do any of those things...so i have no consequences from having those ideas....yet, getting dunked at that age was perfectly acceptable....and now i still pay the price.. are there any things you can think of that you would have done at a young age that could have made you pay for years to come?.

I was baptized as a pre-teen & eventually followed the righteously, envious path of a faithful witness youth toward manhood. I have had enough titles and organizational connections to choke Balaam's antitypical talking ass.
Standing firm for the TRUTH, I rejected all that this system offered to me from its god, Satan.
During the height of my JWness I challenged my blood relatives to defy my scriptural basis for avoiding education and worldly success. My bible prowess was insurmountable. Old Testament, New Testament, Dates - I had it all in my corner. As faulty as my arguments were, just imagine if my best case was: 'the faithful slave has a strong feeling that we are in the last days!'
Nowadays tears come to my eyes when I humbly think of those who would gladly take me in with open arms, while the organization to which I devoted my life causes me to tiptoe around even a hint of dissatisfaction.
Was I cheated?
Was I stupid?
What a dumbass! -
